He calls the choice of metals in a speaker jumpers a matter of coherence rather than luxury.

The Esprit Aura Speaker Jumpers is a pair of bi-wire jumpers from Esprit's Aura range. The Aura speaker jumpers is assembled by hand at Esprit's workshop in Confolens. Like every current Esprit cable, the Aura speaker jumpers belongs to Generation 10.

The idea

Esprit calls Aura a decisive advance, a range of more sophisticated architectures conceived for high-end systems, and the Aura speaker jumpers is drawn from it. At this level Esprit reinforces conductor density again, part of the groundwork of the Aura speaker jumpers. Aura sits at the center of Esprit's nine ranges, the point where the Aura speaker jumpers begins to reach toward the most resolving systems. Richard Cesari has been making cables since 1996, and the Aura speaker jumpers carries three decades of that work.

By hand, in Charente

In Confolens, Charente, the Aura speaker jumpers is made the way Esprit has always worked, entirely by hand. Esprit says this hand method lets it control every step of making the Aura speaker jumpers and keep each one consistent. Each Aura speaker jumpers then passes two complete inspections, one by its assembler and one at final packing, before it leaves the workshop. It is unhurried work, and the Aura speaker jumpers is made at its pace.

The sound, in Esprit's words

In Esprit's words, the Aura speaker jumpers makes a system quieter, more stable and more immersive, bringing out micro-information, deepening the stage and giving dynamics more freedom.

A set of Aura speaker jumpers links the two pairs of terminals on a bi-wire loudspeaker, so it can be driven by a single pair of speaker cables. The connectors of the Aura speaker jumpers carry silver plating on pure copper, the material Esprit uses for its speaker connectors. Keeping the Aura speaker jumpers in the same range as the speaker cables keeps one voice from amplifier to driver. For Esprit, a cable such as the Aura speaker jumpers should simply let the system express what it can do.

Finding your place in the range

The Aura speaker jumpers is level 5 of Esprit's nine, above Eterna and below Lumina.
