esprit-beta-bi-wire-speaker-jumpers
Esprit Beta Bi-Wire Speaker Jumpers – Handmade in France

The story behind every Esprit speaker jumpers begins in 1996. That year Richard Cesari, a lifelong lover of music and hi-fi, began making cables, the work that leads to this speaker jumpers.

The Esprit Beta Speaker Jumpers is a pair of bi-wire jumpers from Esprit's Beta range. The Beta speaker jumpers is assembled by hand at Esprit's workshop in Confolens. Like every current Esprit cable, the Beta speaker jumpers belongs to Generation 10.

The idea

Inside Esprit, the Beta range goes by a nickname, the "cable killer", and the Beta speaker jumpers belongs to that family. Esprit builds Beta around fine-strand pure copper, optimized insulation and protection against high-frequency interference, the foundations of the Beta speaker jumpers. The aim Esprit sets for the range is fluid, coherent transmission in analog and digital alike, and the Beta speaker jumpers is built to that brief. Esprit validates every new cable by ear before releasing it, and the Beta speaker jumpers went through that process.

By hand, in Charente

In Confolens, Charente, the Beta speaker jumpers is made the way Esprit has always worked, entirely by hand. Esprit says this hand method lets it control every step of making the Beta speaker jumpers and keep each one consistent. Each Beta speaker jumpers then passes two complete inspections, one by its assembler and one at final packing, before it leaves the workshop. It is unhurried work, and the Beta speaker jumpers is made at its pace.

How it sounds

Esprit describes the sound of the range as balanced, dynamic and remarkably legible, and it presents the Beta speaker jumpers as a foundation for a stable, musical system.

Esprit has found that very fine strands help high-frequency detail, provided the insulation keeps the treble in check, and the Beta speaker jumpers uses fine-strand pure copper. A set of Beta speaker jumpers links the two pairs of terminals on a bi-wire loudspeaker, so it can be driven by a single pair of speaker cables. Esprit builds the Beta speaker jumpers from fine-strand pure copper. Keeping the Beta speaker jumpers in the same range as the speaker cables keeps one voice from amplifier to driver.

Finding your place in the range

The Beta speaker jumpers is level 2 of Esprit's nine and the first level in which Esprit offers a speaker jumpers, below Celesta. Choose the Beta speaker jumpers if your loudspeakers have bi-wire terminals and you are running a single pair of Beta speaker cables.
