esprit-beta-ethernet-cable-rj45
Esprit Beta Ethernet Cable (RJ45) – Handmade in France

Richard Cesari turns to silver and copper, among the finest conductors on the planet at room temperature, when he designs a Ethernet cable. He calls the choice of metals in a Ethernet cable a matter of coherence rather than luxury.

The Esprit Beta Audiophile Ethernet Cable is an RJ45 network cable from Esprit's Beta range. The Beta Ethernet cable is assembled by hand at Esprit's workshop in Confolens, in 1.2, 2.2 and 3.2 m.

The idea

Inside Esprit, the Beta range goes by a nickname, the "cable killer", and the Beta Ethernet cable belongs to that family. Esprit builds Beta around fine-strand pure copper, optimized insulation and protection against high-frequency interference, the foundations of the Beta Ethernet cable. Its dielectrics are controlled and its shielding is adapted to each use, so the Beta Ethernet cable is protected in the way its own signal needs. The aim Esprit sets for the range is fluid, coherent transmission in analog and digital alike, and the Beta Ethernet cable is built to that brief.

By hand, in Charente

In Confolens, Charente, the Beta Ethernet cable is made the way Esprit has always worked, entirely by hand. Esprit says this hand method lets it control every step of making the Beta Ethernet cable and keep each one consistent. Each Beta Ethernet cable then passes two complete inspections, one by its assembler and one at final packing, before it leaves the workshop. It is unhurried work, and the Beta Ethernet cable is made at its pace.

How it sounds

Esprit describes the sound of the range as balanced, dynamic and remarkably legible, and it presents the Beta Ethernet cable as a foundation for a stable, musical system.

Telegärtner RJ45 connectors terminate the Beta Ethernet cable. Its shielding is specified as single-shielded silver-plated pure copper, in line with Esprit's view that a Beta Ethernet cable is shielded according to the sensitivity of its signal. For Esprit, a cable such as the Beta Ethernet cable should simply let the system express what it can do. A well-designed cable cannot be heard, Richard Cesari says, and that is the standard the Beta Ethernet cable is held to.

Finding your place in the range

The Beta Ethernet cable is level 2 of Esprit's nine and the first level in which Esprit offers a Ethernet cable, below Celesta. The Beta Ethernet cable comes in 1.2, 2.2 and 3.2 m lengths. We're always glad to help you choose, so write to us about the Beta Ethernet cable at any time.
