esprit-celesta-ethernet-cable-rj45
Esprit Celesta Ethernet Cable (RJ45) – Handmade in France

Esprit gives every Ethernet cable one plain task: carry the signal from one point to another and take as little from it as possible. A Ethernet cable cannot add information to what your components extract, the company notes, but a careless design can take some away.

The Esprit Celesta Audiophile Ethernet Cable is an RJ45 network cable from Esprit's Celesta range. Each Celesta Ethernet cable is made by hand in Confolens, in France's Charente region, in 1.2, 2.2 and 3.2 m.

A step up

Celesta marks a clear step up in the Esprit hierarchy, and the Celesta Ethernet cable is built to make that step. Esprit's goal at this level is a quieter, more stable and more natural transmission, which the Celesta Ethernet cable shares with every Celesta link. For the network link, Esprit fits Telegärtner connectors to the Celesta Ethernet cable for their mechanical precision. Richard Cesari has been making cables since 1996, and the Celesta Ethernet cable carries three decades of that work.

Made by hand in Confolens

Esprit's team designs and assembles the Celesta Ethernet cable by hand in its workshop in Confolens, Charente. Richard Cesari insists that assembly counts as much as materials, so each Celesta Ethernet cable is checked at every stage of the work. The first complete check of the Celesta Ethernet cable is made by the person who built it, and nothing moves on until it has been validated.

Listening

Esprit describes Celesta's sound as refined, open and coherent, and it points to clearer micro-information and a more stable stage from the Celesta Ethernet cable.

Telegärtner RJ45 connectors terminate the Celesta Ethernet cable. Its shielding is specified as double-shielded silver-plated pure copper, in line with Esprit's view that a Celesta Ethernet cable is shielded according to the sensitivity of its signal. For Esprit, a cable such as the Celesta Ethernet cable should simply let the system express what it can do. A well-designed cable cannot be heard, Richard Cesari says, and that is the standard the Celesta Ethernet cable is held to.

Choosing your Ethernet cable

The Celesta Ethernet cable is level 3 of Esprit's nine, above Beta and below Eterna. The Celesta Ethernet cable comes in 1.2, 2.2 and 3.2 m lengths. If you would like a second opinion on the Celesta Ethernet cable for your system, we're happy to talk it through.
