In his words, its job is simply to let the music through, and when a Ethernet cable is well designed, you stop hearing it.

The Esprit Eureka Audiophile Ethernet Cable is an RJ45 network cable from Esprit's Eureka range. Esprit hand-builds the Eureka Ethernet cable in Confolens, Charente, in 1.2, 2.2 and 3.2 m. Like every current Esprit cable, the Eureka Ethernet cable belongs to Generation 10.

The idea

Esprit sees Eureka as a decisive step, the range in which advanced filtering and stabilization reach every link, the Eureka Ethernet cable included. Its description of the range mentions very high conductor density, dielectrics chosen to suit each application, and air and Nomex insulation, the framework in which the Eureka Ethernet cable is built. Richard Cesari has been making cables since 1996, and the Eureka Ethernet cable carries three decades of that work.

Made in Confolens

Esprit's team designs and assembles the Eureka Ethernet cable by hand in its workshop in Confolens, Charente. Richard Cesari insists that assembly counts as much as materials, so each Eureka Ethernet cable is checked at every stage of the work. The first complete check of the Eureka Ethernet cable is made by the person who built it, and nothing moves on until it has been validated.

Listening

Esprit promises exceptional silence in operation from the Eureka Ethernet cable, with greater separation between the planes of the stage, remarkable precision and a rarely reached realism.

Telegärtner RJ45 connectors terminate the Eureka Ethernet cable. Its shielding is specified as multilayer shielded silver-plated pure copper on air plus double ferrite plus Nomex, in line with Esprit's view that a Eureka Ethernet cable is shielded according to the sensitivity of its signal. Esprit notes that phono, line-level, digital and mains links each face different constraints, so the protection of the Eureka Ethernet cable is adapted to its use.

Where it fits

The Eureka Ethernet cable is level 7 of Esprit's nine, above Lumina and below Gaia. The Eureka Ethernet cable comes in 1.2, 2.2 and 3.2 m lengths. Tell us about your components and we'll gladly help you settle on the right Eureka Ethernet cable.
