In his words, its job is simply to let the music through, and when an RCA interconnect is well designed, you stop hearing it.

The Esprit Eureka RCA Interconnect is a pair of RCA interconnects from Esprit's Eureka range. Esprit hand-builds the Eureka RCA interconnect in Confolens, Charente, in 0.6, 1.2, 1.8 and 2.4 m pairs. Like every current Esprit cable, the Eureka RCA interconnect belongs to Generation 10.

“…what the Esprit unbalanced interconnects achieved was very good and not that different from the balanced version.”

— Joël Chevassus, 6moons, reviewing the previous-generation Eureka loom (2018)

The idea

Esprit sees Eureka as a decisive step, the range in which advanced filtering and stabilization reach every link, the Eureka RCA interconnect included. Its description of the range mentions very high conductor density, dielectrics chosen to suit each application, and air and Nomex insulation, the framework in which the Eureka RCA interconnect is built. Polarization is reinforced at this level, up to double polarization on some links, to make the Eureka RCA interconnect more coherent still. Eh 200 connectors complete the Eureka RCA interconnect.

Made in Confolens

Esprit's team designs and assembles the Eureka RCA interconnect by hand in its workshop in Confolens, Charente. Richard Cesari insists that assembly counts as much as materials, so each Eureka RCA interconnect is checked at every stage of the work. The first complete check of the Eureka RCA interconnect is made by the person who built it, and nothing moves on until it has been validated.

Listening

Esprit promises exceptional silence in operation from the Eureka RCA interconnect, with greater separation between the planes of the stage, remarkable precision and a rarely reached realism.

The Eureka RCA interconnect combines PVC and silicone insulation: Esprit associates the firmer PVC with density and bass weight, and the softer silicone with a more fluid, open midrange and treble. Air forms part of the insulation of the Eureka RCA interconnect, as specified: triple air insulation + high-temperature polyvinyl chloride (PVC) + silicone + kynar. Polarization on the Eureka RCA interconnect holds its insulators under a continuous voltage so they stay in a stable state, which Esprit links to clearer micro-detail, a more structured stage and greater fluidity.

Where it fits

The Eureka RCA interconnect is level 7 of Esprit's nine, above Lumina and below Gaia. The Eureka RCA interconnect comes in 0.6, 1.2, 1.8 and 2.4 m lengths. Tell us about your components and we'll gladly help you settle on the right Eureka RCA interconnect.
