The Esprit Aura Master Clock Cable is a BNC cable for master clock links from Esprit's Aura range. The Aura clock cable is assembled by hand at Esprit's workshop in Confolens, in 1 and 1.5 m and in 50 or 75 ohm.

The idea

Esprit calls Aura a decisive advance, a range of more sophisticated architectures conceived for high-end systems, and the Aura clock cable is drawn from it. At this level Esprit reinforces conductor density again, part of the groundwork of the Aura clock cable. Aura sits at the center of Esprit's nine ranges, the point where the Aura clock cable begins to reach toward the most resolving systems. Richard Cesari has been making cables since 1996, and the Aura clock cable carries three decades of that work.

By hand, in Charente

In Confolens, Charente, the Aura clock cable is made the way Esprit has always worked, entirely by hand. Esprit says this hand method lets it control every step of making the Aura clock cable and keep each one consistent. Each Aura clock cable then passes two complete inspections, one by its assembler and one at final packing, before it leaves the workshop. It is unhurried work, and the Aura clock cable is made at its pace.

The sound, in Esprit's words

In Esprit's words, the Aura clock cable makes a system quieter, more stable and more immersive, bringing out micro-information, deepening the stage and giving dynamics more freedom.

The Aura clock cable uses Esprit's own Eh 100 connectors, fitted to BNC, since Esprit designs a connector as an extension of the conductor itself. Inside, the Aura clock cable uses a twinax construction, insulated in polyamide imide rated to thermal class 200°. For Esprit, a cable such as the Aura clock cable should simply let the system express what it can do. A well-designed cable cannot be heard, Richard Cesari says, and that is the standard the Aura clock cable is held to.
