Collection: Music Streamers & Servers

A music streamer plays your digital library and streaming services such as TIDAL and Qobuz through your hi-fi system, controlled from a phone or tablet. A streaming transport sends a clean digital signal to a separate DAC, while a streamer with a built-in DAC connects straight to your amplifier. Music servers store and serve a local library, and several here can run Roon. This collection brings together streamers, transports and servers from Volumio, Eversolo, NuPrime and Silent Angel.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a streamer and a streaming transport?

A streamer with a built-in DAC outputs an analog signal you can connect directly to an amplifier. A streaming transport outputs a digital signal only, so it needs a separate DAC.

Do I need a DAC with a streamer?

Only if the streamer has no DAC of its own, or if you want to use a DAC you already own. Many models here, such as the Volumio Primo and Eversolo DMP series, include a DAC.

What does a music server do?

A music server stores your music files and serves them to a player or streamer on your network. Some servers can also run Roon Core software.

Can you help me choose?

Yes. Contact us with your current system and listening habits and we can suggest a streamer or server that fits.
