Richard Cesari compares building a speaker jumpers to following a recipe. You can choose the finest ingredients for a speaker jumpers and still get it wrong, he says, while the right combination gives excellent results.
The Esprit L'Esprit Speaker Jumpers is a pair of bi-wire jumpers from Esprit's L'Esprit range. Each L'Esprit speaker jumpers is made by hand in Confolens, in France's Charente region. Like every current Esprit cable, the L'Esprit speaker jumpers belongs to Generation 10.
Thirty years in one range
Esprit reserves its most ambitious language for the L'Esprit speaker jumpers, calling the range the supreme incarnation of musical emotion, the one that carries the soul closest to the absolute. Thirty years of experience, research, tuning and listening tests culminate in L'Esprit, and the company says the L'Esprit speaker jumpers concentrates every one of its developments. Every improvement in the other Esprit ranges begins with the research done for L'Esprit, which the brand calls both the source and the synthesis of its work, and the L'Esprit speaker jumpers is where that research lives in full.
Made by hand in Confolens
Esprit's team designs and assembles the L'Esprit speaker jumpers by hand in its workshop in Confolens, Charente. Richard Cesari insists that assembly counts as much as materials, so each L'Esprit speaker jumpers is checked at every stage of the work. The first complete check of the L'Esprit speaker jumpers is made by the person who built it, and nothing moves on until it has been validated.
The sound, in Esprit's words
Esprit speaks of the L'Esprit speaker jumpers in terms of emotion rather than measurement, describing each note as a pure moment of ever-renewed musicality. For Richard Cesari, the goal of all this work comes down to one word, music, and the L'Esprit speaker jumpers is where Esprit pursues it furthest.
A set of L'Esprit speaker jumpers links the two pairs of terminals on a bi-wire loudspeaker, so it can be driven by a single pair of speaker cables. Keeping the L'Esprit speaker jumpers in the same range as the speaker cables keeps one voice from amplifier to driver. For Esprit, a cable such as the L'Esprit speaker jumpers should simply let the system express what it can do.
Choosing your jumpers
The L'Esprit speaker jumpers is level 9 of 9, the summit of the catalog above Gaia. Choose the L'Esprit speaker jumpers if your loudspeakers have bi-wire terminals and you are running a single pair of L'Esprit speaker cables. The full Esprit collection shows the L'Esprit speaker jumpers alongside the rest of the family.
