Esprit brought to its power strips the same approach it applies to cables, the choice of materials, control of shielding, quality of contacts and work on electrical and mechanical disturbances, and the Volta S power strip shows each of them. Over the years the form, size and architecture of these strips have evolved, and today the Volta S power strip is the middle of three Volta models.
The Esprit Volta S Power Strip distributes mains power to up to eight components through eight US outlets. Like every Esprit product, the Volta S power strip is designed and assembled by hand in Confolens, Charente.
Balance before force
Esprit is careful to say that more filtering is not automatically better, and the Volta S power strip is tuned with that in mind. Too much filtering, it explains, can compress dynamics, soften micro-information and make playback less alive, while poorly controlled power can make listening harder, and the Volta S power strip aims between the two. The Volta series was developed around that balance between cleaning the power and preserving musical energy, and the Volta S power strip sits at its center.
One housing, three treatments
Every model in the series shares a thick aluminum housing connected to ground, and on the Volta S power strip that rigid enclosure also contributes to shielding. The architecture of the Volta S power strip is fully shielded, the shield of its housing is itself filtered, and its outlets use silver-plated pure copper contacts for a stable, durable connection.
What it does
The Volta S power strip extends filtering to earth, phase and neutral, and to the housing itself. Esprit says the Volta S power strip offers better attenuation of disturbances while keeping the liveliness of the music, cleaning the power without making the system sound artificially damped. Internal wiring in the Volta S power strip rises to 6 mm², keeping a low-resistance link between the mains inlet and every outlet.

What does the Volta S power strip add over the Volta?
Where the Volta filters only the ground, the Volta S power strip filters earth, phase and neutral. Its internal wiring rises from 3 to 6 mm², and a partial internal bitumen coating damps vibration of the chassis.
What does the Volta Ultra add over the Volta S power strip?
The Volta Ultra keeps the filtering of earth, phase and neutral but moves to a pi filter with a more advanced architecture and higher-grade components. Its bitumen damping covers the whole interior of the housing instead of part of it, as on the Volta S power strip.
Why do the photos of the Volta S power strip show European outlets?
