The Esprit Volta Ultra Power Strip distributes mains power to up to eight components through eight US outlets. Like every Esprit product, the Volta Ultra power strip is designed and assembled by hand in Confolens, Charente.
A cleaner electrical environment
Esprit designs its power strips around a simple aim: to create a cleaner electrical environment around the system without piling on treatments that could alter its dynamic behavior, the aim behind the Volta Ultra power strip. The filters have to fit inside a housing already occupied by wiring, outlets and bitumen damping, so each layout inside the Volta Ultra power strip is studied to reconcile filtering, heat, space and mechanical stability.
One housing, three treatments
Every model in the series shares a thick aluminum housing connected to ground, and on the Volta Ultra power strip that rigid enclosure also contributes to shielding. The architecture of the Volta Ultra power strip is fully shielded, the shield of its housing is itself filtered, and its outlets use silver-plated pure copper contacts for a stable, durable connection. Bitumen damping covers the entire interior of the Volta Ultra power strip, the same idea of combining materials with different properties that Esprit uses in its Amelia and Lisa loudspeakers.
What it does
The Volta Ultra power strip filters earth, phase and neutral with a pi filter, using a more advanced architecture and higher-grade components than the models below it. Esprit says its reinforced filtering attenuates even more of the disturbances arriving from the mains, from electricity meters, Wi-Fi and power-line carriers to other household pollution, and and the Volta Ultra power strip is the Volta built for that. The housing of the Volta Ultra power strip is grounded and filtered, and its mechanical damping is taken as far as Esprit takes it.
