About the NuPrime AMG DAC
The NuPrime AMG DAC is a reference DAC and preamplifier that pairs dual ESS9038Q2M converters with a discrete Class A output stage. It decodes up to PCM 384kHz and DSD256, takes five digital inputs including I2S/DSD and one analog input, and drives XLR and RCA outputs through a MUSES72320 volume control. Why Choose the AMG DAC
NuPrime treats the preamp stage as central to a DAC's sound. In the AMG DAC, voltage and current amplification are built from discrete components, and the current stage uses no negative feedback. NuPrime describes the sound as natural and relaxed, with an open sense of space.
Two ESS9038Q2M chips decode the channels independently for better separation and lower noise. Vishay MELF film resistors, MUSES8820 op-amps in the I/V stage and low-noise JFETs at the input complete the circuit. The AMG front panel is milled from 15mm hardened aerospace aluminum alloy on a four-axis CNC machine with a diamond cutter, in a 48-step process, with a 3D floating logo and diamond-cut edges.
