About the NuPrime-X Fusion 8D
The NuPrime-X Fusion 8D is an eight-channel balanced DAC for immersive music and home theater, with four clock-synchronized ESS ES9038K2M DACs, analog volume control and eight balanced XLR outputs. Its 8-channel USB input plays up to 192kHz/32-bit across eight channels, and five Fusion-X expansion slots accept AoIP, AES, streaming and analog input cards. Why Choose the Fusion 8D
Conventional AV receivers decode every channel with a single DSP-driven multichannel DAC chip. The Fusion 8D gives each pair of channels its own ESS ES9038K2M in dual mono, with all four chips clock-synchronized, for channel separation, low noise and dynamic range.
The DACs' current outputs feed NSL-4562 optocouplers that perform I-V conversion and analog gain control at once, followed by a Burr-Brown OPA134UA op-amp on each channel. There is no digital volume processing. Control, analog and digital circuits each have their own power supply.
