About the Silent Angel Forester F1
Silent Angel Forester F1 is a dual-output 5 V linear power supply that replaces the stock adapters on Silent Angel's compact components. Bought from HiFi Boutique, an authorized Silent Angel dealer, it comes with a USA-based warranty and local dealer support.
AC power runs through a toroidal transformer with fast-response MOSFET power management to deliver stable DC with very low voltage fluctuation. Silent Angel notes that a stable supply helps a device's clock module run accurately, so network data packets are sent with precise timing and less jitter and latency.
Outputs
F1 has two independent 5 V / 2 A outputs, each available as a 5.5 × 2.1 mm DC plug or a USB 2.0 Type-A port, with status and over-temperature LEDs for each output. It draws up to 60 W from an IEC inlet.
What it powers
F1 is the matched upgrade for the Bonn N8 switch, the Munich M1 V2 streamer and the Munich M1T V2 transport. Connect it with a 5 V Bastei DC cable.
