About the Silent Angel Forester F2
Silent Angel Forester F2 is a multi-output linear power supply that can run a whole Silent Angel digital front end from one chassis. Bought from HiFi Boutique, an authorized Silent Angel dealer, it comes with a USA-based warranty and local dealer support.
Outputs
F2 provides a 12 V / 3 A and a 12 V / 1 A output (5.5 × 2.5 mm), a 5 V / 2 A and a 5 V / 1 A output (5.5 × 2.1 mm), and USB ports. The USB ports share current with the 5 V DC plugs, so each 5 V set is used one way at a time. Status and over-temperature LEDs show the condition of each output, and it draws up to 100 W.
What it powers
The 12 V / 3 A output suits the Rhein Z1 Plus and Rhein Z1C music servers, while the 12 V / 1 A output can run a Genesis clock or Bonn switch: Silent Angel recommends F2 for the Genesis GX DC input, which bypasses the clock's internal switching module. Use Bastei DC cables for the connections.
Build
The chassis measures 200 × 111 × 200 mm and weighs 4.2 kg, and is available in Black or Silver to match Rhein and Genesis components.

FAQ
FAQ
Can the Forester F2 power a Rhein Z1 Plus?
Yes. Its 12 V / 3 A output with a 5.5 × 2.5 mm plug matches the Z1 Plus and Z1C power input.
Can I use the USB ports and 5 V DC plugs at the same time?
Not on the same set. Each USB port shares current with its matching 5 V DC plug, so use one or the other.
Does F2 work with the Genesis GX?
Yes. The GX 12 V DC input bypasses its internal switching module, and Silent Angel names F2 as the external linear supply for it.
