Silent Angel Rhein Z1C V2 25MHz is the entry point to the Rhein music server line: a compact server with Silent Angel's audio-grade VitOS, a TCXO clock and an external 25 MHz clock input. With the VitOS Manager app you can install and manage add-on packages on VitOS, including Roon Server (Roon Core and Roon Bridge), Spotify Connect, DLNA renderer and server and the Orbiter plug-in, so Rhein Z1C V2 25MHz can serve as the Roon Core of your system.
25 MHz clock input
High-precision TCXO clocks and optimized clock circuitry keep network latency and jitter low, and an internal/external clock selector switch lets you connect an external 25 MHz master clock. This is the 25 MHz version; the Rhein Z1C 10MHz is otherwise the same server with a 10 MHz clock input. Choose the version that matches your master clock.
Library and streaming
An 8 GB memory system and a 250 GB NVMe SSD hold your local music, and VitOS can manage up to 10 TB of music files across internal, NAS and USB storage, with Music Importer and Music Backup tools. Qobuz, Spotify Connect, DLNA, AirPlay 2 and internet radio are supported, and Z1C can deliver audio to up to 10 endpoints at once. USB audio output supports DSD up to DSD256.
