The Volumio Rivo Black Edition dresses Volumio's award-winning digital streaming transport in a black upcycled-leather front panel, for systems where a darker finish fits better. Bought from HiFi Boutique, an authorized Volumio dealer, it comes with a USA-based warranty and local dealer support from HiFi Boutique.

Only the finish changes. Inside is the same electronics as the standard Volumio Rivo, EISA Best Digital Player 2023–2024, designed and assembled in Florence, Italy.

A darker look, the same Rivo inside

The black upcycled-leather front sits comfortably next to black amplifiers, DACs and racks. Behind it, Rivo Black Edition keeps everything that made Rivo a reference transport: galvanically isolated coaxial and AES/EBU outputs, a dedicated and separately stabilized clock supply, filtered inputs, and a USB output with its own power filtering and clocking.

What it sends to your DAC

Rivo Black Edition has no internal DAC. USB audio reaches PCM 1536 kHz/32-bit and DSD1024 with multiroom disabled, and AES/EBU and coaxial outputs carry PCM 192 kHz/24-bit, so it suits a standalone DAC or an amplifier with digital inputs.

Streaming and services

Gigabit Ethernet and dual-band Wi-Fi connect it to your network, and Bluetooth 5.0 is built in. Volumio Premium brings TIDAL, Qobuz, Spotify, internet radio and podcasts together with your own library, and it works as an AirPlay, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect and UPnP/DLNA (OpenHome) renderer, with Squeezelite available as a plugin. It is Roon Ready, certified by Roon Labs. The USB-A ports read music from USB drives and HDD/SSD, and an HDMI output mirrors the Volumio app on a screen at up to 4K/60.

Prefer the classic look? The standard Volumio Rivo is identical inside. Want more outputs? Rivo Plus adds I2S over HDMI, an output ASIC, upgraded clocks and a 12 V trigger, and the Rivo Plus Special Edition offers it in brown leather.
